Help Identify A Grand Larceny Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached surveillance photo in regard to an attempted grand larceny that occurred within the confines of the 42 Precinct in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

On Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at approximately 0720 hours, a 27-year-old female victim was riding a BX #6 Bus that was pulling into the 163 Street / Tinton Avenue stop when she was approached by an unidentified male at the rear exit door of the bus. The male attempted to snatch the victim’s cellphone out of her hands and then exited the bus, fleeing on foot westbound on 163rd Street. The victim remained on the eastbound bus and reported the incident to the driver at the Hunts Point stop. There were no injuries. No property was removed.
