The New York City Police Department is asking the public for assistance to identify the whereabouts of the following individual who is wanted in connection to a grand larceny that occurred within the confines of the 44 Precinct / Transit District 11 in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at approximately 2105 hours at the E. 161 Street / River Avenue “4 Line” Subway Station, a 22-year-old female victim was on the escalator when an unidentified male snatched her cellphone from her hand and fled the station to the northwest corner of 161 Street.

The individual is described as a male, Black, approximately in his 20’s, 6 feet tall, thin build and braids. He was last seen wearing blue/grey shorts, black long sleeve, and black shoes.

Surveillance photographs of the suspect are attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
