Help Identify A Grand Larceny Suspect

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the following individual wanted in connection to a grand larceny pattern within the confines of the 41 Precinct in Bronx / Transit District 12.

The following has been reported to police.

  • On August 14, 2019 approximately 0425 hours the individual approached the 62 year-old male on the stairs leading into the 149 Street and Southern Boulevard “6” train subway station and removed his wallet, which contained $852 in cash.
  • On August 16, 2019 at approximately 0455 hours, the individual approached 71 year-old male at the bottom of the stairs leading into the 149 Street and Southern Boulevard “6” train subway station. The individual proceeded to remove the victim’s wallet but was unsuccessful and fled.

The individual is described as follows:

Male, light skin, 27 to 35 years-old, approximately 5’10”. He was last seen wearing a black hat, white tank top, beige shorts, and red sneakers. The individual also has tattoos on both arms.

A surveillance video clip of the suspect is attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
