The New York City Police Department is asking the public for assistance with locating and identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs, who is wanted in connection to a grand larceny, that occurred within the confines of the 44th Precinct / Transit District 11 in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

On Tuesday, February 09, 2021, at approximately 1440 hours, on the southbound D platform of the 149 Street and Grand Concourse subway station, a 44-year-old male was using his phone when an unidentified individual snatched the phone from his hands.

The individual then fled outside the subway station and went eastbound on E. 167th Street.

A surveillance photograph of the suspect is attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stopperswebsite or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES), followed by entering TIP577.
