The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached video and photograph in connection to a burglary within the confines of the 40 Precinct in Bronx.

The details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Tuesday September 24, 2019, at approximately 1030 hours, inside of a residence in the vicinity of Melrose Avenue and E. 159 Street, the individual gained entry into the residence by forcing open a rear bedroom window. Once inside, the individual removed a safe that contained jewelry and a handgun. The individual fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

The individual is a dark-skinned male, with black hair in a ponytail; last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers.
