The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the following missing person within the confines of the 46th Precinct in Bronx.

The circumstances are as follows.

Missing:

Genovera Madera
1780 Walton Avenue
Bronx, NY 10453

It was reported to police that she was last seen on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at 1955 hours inside of her residence.

The missing is described as a 73-year-old female, Hispanic, 5’3, 160 lbs. last seen wearing a gray fleece jacket, dark brown pants and brown checkered slippers.

The missing has been found deceased and the circumstances are as follows.

On Monday, February 17, 2020, at approximately 1530 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an unconscious female in the vicinity of Jerome Avenue and the Cross Bronx Expressway within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the borough.

Upon arrival, police discovered a 73-year-old female unconscious and unresponsive, laying in a grassy area.

EMS responded and pronounced the female deceased at the scene.

The NYC Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing.

The deceased has been positively identified and the family has been notified.
