The Fordham University men’s basketball squad continues the 2014 Atlantic 10 season as they host the University of Dayton Flyers in the historic Rose Hill Gym on Wednesday night, January 15, 2014 at 9:00 p.m. in a game that will be televised live on SportsNet NY (SNY) with Dave Raymond on play-by-play and Vin Parise on color.

Fordham enters the game with a 7-8 overall record, 0-2 in the Atlantic 10, after a 77-74 overtime conference loss to the University of Richmond in the Rose Hill Gym on Saturday night. Dayton enters the game with a 12-4 overall record, 0-1 in the Atlantic 10, after opening its conference slate with a 67-59 loss to Saint Louis in the Dayton Arena on Saturday afternoon.
The Rams will be led into the game by the top scoring backcourt in the Atlantic 10, senior guard Branden Frazier, a preseason Third Team All-Atlantic 10 pick, and freshman guard Jon Severe, a product of Christ the King High School. Severe, a four-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, is averaging an Atlantic 10-best 21.4 ppg, after a 35-point outburst at Duquesne last Wednesday, while Frazier is right behind him, averaging 18.9 ppg, third best in the conference, and he has two double-doubles year.
Over his three-year career, Frazier has netted 1,361 points, good for 13th on the Fordham all-time scoring list.
Wednesday’s night’s contest will be the 29th meeting between Fordham and Dayton on the hardwood. The Flyers lead the all-time series, which started in 1952-53, 23-5, and have won the past seven match-ups, including a 96-51 win in Dayton on January 23 last year as Kevin Dillard netted 22 points and added eight assists for the Flyers.
