A two-alarm Bronx fire has damaged Loews Paradise Theatre, a beloved City landmark.

The blaze broke out just before 4:00 p.m. on Monday at the Loews Paradise Theatre on Grand Concourse in Fordham Heights.

It was brought under control a little more than an hour later.

Fire officials say the cause of the fire was not immediately clear. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.

The baroque-style theater was designed by architect John Eberson. It was declared a New York City landmark in 1987.
