Edison Cruz, 25, Arrested For The Murder Of David Scott, 31

On Tuesday, May 03, 2022, at approximately 0046 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a two (2) persons, shot inside of 6 E. Burnside Avenue, within the confines of the 46th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed three persons shot inside the location. Victim #1, a 31-year-old male, was shot in the head and upper torso area. Victim #2, a 34-year-old male, was shot in the left arm. Victim #3, a 34-year-old female, was shot in the torso.

EMS responded to the location and pronounced victim #1 deceased on the scene; they transported victims #2 and #3 to St. Barnabas Hospital, where victim #2 remains in stable condition and victim #3 remains in critical condition.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

The following 25-year-old male individual has been arrested in regard to the above-listed incident and is charged as follows.

Charges:

  • murder;
  • manslaughter;
  • criminal possession of a weapon.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
