It has been 7 years since Ladybug Mecca (a.k.a. LadybugMek) performed with the original Digable Planets, and her upcoming special one-time NYC and LA appearances with the group as well as featured artist U.G.O. Crew are going to be memorable events marking a long overdue reunion for their worldwide following.

Digable Planets With Madarocka

Although the other 2/3rds of Digable Planets has continued touring with other female MCs (including Lady Makka a.k.a. Madarocka), and Ladybug has embarked on a DJ career as DJ LadybugMek, old school fans know how special the trio’s original on-stage chemistry was, and what a major event these upcoming shows will be. Lady Makka will also be joining Ladybug on stage at the Brooklyn Bowl for the first time ever.

The shows will take place on December 20th, 2011 at the Brooklyn Bowl and February 3rd at the Conga Room @LA Live. Fans can go to BrooklynBowl.com and CongaRoom.com for more information.

Cool Like That Tour Mix release on January 31st, 2012 – Digable Planets and U.G.O. Crew will be releasing a joint album from their 2010 Cool Like That Tour including classic songs like “Cool Like That”, “Where I’m From”, and “Nickel Bag” as well as U.G.O. tracks including “Remembered” and the “Change” featuring Sean Kingston. The album highlights the vocal talent of Stevano Ugo of U.G.O. Crew and showcases the band’s hip hop-rock crossover styling that first caught the attention of EMI Records and Craig “Doodlebug” Irving of Digable Planets two years ago when he asked U.G.O. to join the band on tour. For U.G.O., the CD also marks their first collaborative release in the US.

Free Download of U.G.O.’s “Change” feat. Sean Kingston –  As part of their North American debut, U.G.O. Crew is offering free downloads of their single “Change” featuring Sean Kingston at www.ugocrew.com/music. U.G.O. is offering fans free downloads of their most successful single while they head to LA to record their next album and EP with legendary producer Ron “Amen Ra” Lawrence who has masterminded hits for Beyonce, Jay-Z, Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, Notorious B.I.G., Ice Cube, and Diddy, among others.

U.G.O. will be releasing their first North American EP with Millennium Men/EMI Group on February 14, 2012 with a full length album slated for release in Summer 2012.

About Digable Planets

About U.G.O. Crew
U.G.O. Crew (a.k.a. Under Ground Officials) is a young Canadian hip hop-rock crossover group that has already realized commercial success in Canada and has been recognized by its industry peers with a 2011 Canadian Radio Music Awards nomination, and a 2010 Juno nomination for their single “I’m Still Fly” with Drake. The group was founded by Stevano UGO (a.k.a. Afrikan MC) and includes DJ Karina and Arturo on guitar.
