Dante Steer-Cooman, 9 Months, Murdered

On Friday, February 14, 2020, at approximately 1635 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an unconscious infant inside of 4567 Matilda Avenue, within the confines of the 47th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 9-month-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with no obvious signs of trauma observed.

EMS responded to the location and transported the aided infant to Montefiore Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The Medical Examiner has deemed the incident a homicide.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
