Cops are searching for a burglar caught on camera as he robbed a Bronx laundromat, police said Sunday.
The thief robbed M&K Laundromat on Montgomery Avenue near West Tremont Avenue in Morris Heights around 4:00 a.m. Wednesday, breaking in through a window using a saw to remove an air conditioner, cops said.
As the clueless burglar rummages through the laundromat, he looks directly at a surveillance camera, the video shows. After realizing he is being watched, the panic-ridden thief pulls a mask over his face.
Police said the man continued undeterred, using a crowbar to break into a safe, making off with an undetermined amount of cash.
Cops described him as Hispanic, around 5-foot-9, 120 pounds with a goatee, brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing black shoes and a hooded jacket.
