Clara H. Healy Passes At 93

Clara H. Healy, age 93, of Marlboro, NY and formerly of Parkchester, Bronx died surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 31, 2012 at The Joe Raso Hospice Residence in New City, NY.

Mrs. Healy was born February 23, 1919 in New York City, NY. She is the daughter of the late Charles and the late Brigitta (Brauer) Kaufmann. She was the beloved wife of Harold Healy who predeceased her in 1987.

She was employed by Social Services, New York City as a Supervising Clerk. She was a longtime active member of St. Mary’s Church in Marlboro.

She is survived by one son, Terrence Healy; two daughters, Peggy Murphy and husband, Sean of Pearl River and Nancy Healy of Pomona; two sisters, Doris Hennekens of Marlboro and Eileen Schobert of Manhattan and seven grandchildren: Timothy Healy and Siobhan, Jane Healy and Donny, Kara Healy and Chris, Alicia Healy, Ryan Healy and Mary, Kerry Ann Murphy and Patrick Murphy; four great grandchildren: Jillian, Emilia and Molly Healy and Ryker Curebanas and many loving nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the DiDonato Funeral Home, 1290 Route 9W, Marlboro, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 5 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Marlboro with Father Frank Bassett officiating. Burial will follow in St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Clara’s memory to The St. Mary’s Food Pantry, Marlboro or the Joe Raso Hospice Residence, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956.
