On Saturday, September 21, 2024, at approximately 0325 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress, in front of 1186 Evergreen Avenue, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed an unidentified male victim with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
EMS responded and transported the 17-year-old male victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.
