Carnegie Hall comes to Bronx! Join us for a special performance by the Brown Rice Family on Friday, February 3, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m..
Brooklyn-based world roots band Brown Rice Family is a high-energy, nine-member ensemble that combines an eclectic mix of musical influences that encompass reggae, hip-hop, Brazilian, Afrobeat, jazz, rock, Latin, and funk. With members hailing from all over the world, Brown Rice Family draws on its diverse backgrounds to create a colorful, rhythm-driven, and highly danceable sound.
This performance features new works written and performed by youth in collaboration with Brown Rice Family as part of Carnegie Hall’s Musical Connections program.
