On Wednesday (tomorrow), January 06, 2021, at 01:00 p.m., at 851 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY 10451, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. joins concerned Bronx resident in calling for United Healthcare to come to the negotiating table with an agreement to keep Montefiore Health System in their network, and make the health of our constituents a priority.
As of January 01, 2021, the contract between UnitedHealthcare and Montefiore Health System expired without a new contract in place to cover the care that Montefiore Health System provides to patients with United / Oxford commercial health plans, United Medicaid Community Plans, and United Medicare DSNP Plans.
As a result, many Bronx, Westchester and Rockland County residents have lost their in-network access preferred Montefiore Health System doctors and hospitals in the middle of a global pandemic.
