Wendolin Ortiz, 19, Murdered

On Monday, October 19, 2020, at approximately 0700 hours, police responded to a 911 call of three people shot inside of 2647 Jerome Avenue (Mix-Tec Club) within the confines of the 52nd Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival Police discovered three victims:

  • Victim #1, a 19-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the torso;
  • Victim #2, a 28-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the right arm;
  • Victim #3, a 30-year-old male with three gunshot wound to the body.

EMS responded and transported the victims to St. Barnabas Hospital, where Victim #1 was pronounced deceased, Victims #2 and #3 are both in stable condition at this time.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
