Buriama Silla, 23, Murdered

On Friday, July 19, 2024, at approximately 23:46 hours, police responded to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, within the confines of the 40th Precinct in the Bronx.

They received a walk-in report of a 23-year-old male, who had been transported by private means with a gunshot wound to the torso.

Upon further investigation, it was established the incident occurred at approximately 23:31 hours in the rear of 1100 Teller Avenue, which falls within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.

The victim was in the rear of the location when an unknown individual, driving a black SUV, shot the victim once in the torso. The vehicle fled the location in an unknown direction.

The 23-year-old male was subsequently pronounced deceased by hospital staff.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
