This Saturday, June 21st, with support from Stand With Crypto, blockchain education platform BronxCrypto and VTATV will host a free public workshop “Bronx Votes Crypto.” The event will focus on technology literacy, blockchain and digital asset education, and legislation to regulate the technology moving through Congress. To be held at the historic Westchester Square Library in the Bronx, the event can be accessed from anywhere through the metaverse here.
Julio Barrios, founder of BronxCrypto, said, “this event is about education, advocacy, and community empowerment — making sure the Bronx isn’t left out of the future of entrepreneurship, technology, and finance. We want our family and neighbors to not only understand crypto and its potential, but to have a voice in advocating for consumer protections and clear rules to govern it. With the CLARITY Act and the GENIUS Act, Congress is making important steps forward and everyone from Senator Schumer to Ritchie Torres to AOC must support these bills. We need all hands on deck. Let’s position the Bronx as a leader in blockchain knowledge and innovation.”
“The Bronx is voting crypto,” Barrios continued
Attendees will learn about key legislative efforts shaping the future of digital finance, including the CLARITY Act, the GENIUS Act, and policy developments under the Trump administration. The workshop aims to help residents understand how emerging technology intersects with economic opportunity and activism and advocacy.
The event will feature guest speakers JayConnects, Stu Kwan, Apollo, among others. In addition to informative programming, participants can look forward to crypto giveaways, NFT drops, and refreshments.
The first ten attendees will receive bonus merchandise and double the crypto drop.
