Bronx Youth To Voice Their Concerns At Youth Speaks Conference

Bronx students, here’s your chance to tell the adults what’s on your mind at the 13th annual Bronx Youth Empowerment Program’s (YEP) Youth Speaks conference on Thursday, May 9, 11:00 a.m. at Evander Childs High School, 800 East Gun Hill Road, Bronx, NY 10467.

Youth Speaks is a free, annual event coordinated and hosted by the Bronx YEP in partnership with the Office of Council Member Andy King. The program brings together Bronx youth to discuss topics relevant to young people ages 10-21. In the past, forum discussions included politics and civic activities, careers and college. This year’s discussion is equality.

Invited guest speakers include NYC Council Member Andy King, NYPD Deputy Inspector Erik Hernandez of the 47th Precinct, and NYC DOE First Deputy Chancellor- Cheryl Watson-Harris.
