Police are searching for two men who tricked a Bronx woman into letting them into her apartment and then assaulted and robbed her.
Authorities say the suspects knocked on the victim’s door in University Heights on Monday and told her that her sink was leaking into the apartment below. Once inside the apartment the men put the woman into a chokehold, covered her eyes and removed several pieces of jewelry from her body.
The two suspects then fled the apartment. The victim refused any medical attention.
Police have released surveillance video they say captures the two men walking down the street.
