Bronx Man Charged With Trying To Fill Fraudulent Prescription

A man from Bronx, NY was taken into custody for trying to fill a fraudulent prescription at Sparta CVS on January 16, 207 around 12:51 p.m.

Sparta Police were called. When Detective Brian Hassloch got to the Theater Center he saw a person meeting the description given by the CVS, driving away in a black mini-van. Hassloch and Detective Jeff McCarrick stopped the minivan on Woodport Road police report.

Salim Wilson, a passenger in the minivan admitted to the officers he was the person who had tried to fill the prescription. Wilson also admitted knowing the prescription was fraudulent, according to police. 

Wilson was taken into custody and brought to Sparta Police Department headquarters for processing. He was charged with criminal attempt to for trying to fill the fraudulent prescription and released pending a court date.
