Attempted Baseball Bat Break-In

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached video and photograph in connection to an attempted burglary within the confines of the 42 Precinct in Bronx.

The details are as follows:

It was reported to police that on Friday April 27, 2018, at approximately 07:30 p.m., in front of 1176 Franklin Avenue (Harriet Tubman Charter School), the individual attempted gained entry into the building by breaking the front doors’ windows with a baseball bat and pulling on the door handles. The individual was unable to enter the building and there was no property taken from the location.

The individual is a male, black; last seen wearing a white bandanna, a gray hooded sweater with white lettering on its sleeve and an “A” on its chest, beige pants and black and white sneakers.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers’ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
