On Thursday, September 12, 2019, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and the Supreme Court of Bronx County co-hosted the borough’s annual “Day of Remembrance” to commemorate the families, friends and neighbors who perished in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
The event took place on Lou Gehrig Plaza at E. 161st Street & Grand Concourse in Bronx.
“The World Trade Center attacks shocked the world, but New Yorkers were affected in an especially personal way. Our city was changed forever by this tragedy and every year we remember the lives lost on that terrible day. We will never forget,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
