Angel Medina, 18, Arrested For The Murder Of John Vallejo, 32

On Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at approximately 1337 hours police responded to a report of an assault inside of 1318 Randall Avenue, within the confines of the 41st Precinct in the Bronx.

An investigation revealed that 2 males were involved in a dispute, when a 18-year-old male pulled out a gun and fired several rounds at a 32-year-old male, striking him in the torso.

The 32-year-old male returned fire and struck the 18-year-old male on his arm and torso.

Both males were removed to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where the 32-year-old male was pronounced deceased.

The 18 year-old male was taken into custody with charges pending.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 18-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 1645 hours, within the confines of the 41st Precinct.

Bronx, NY 10459

Charges:

  • manslaughter;
  • attempted murder;
  • criminal possession of a weapon: loaded firearm.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
