On Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at approximately 1832 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an aided infant inside of 1579 Vyse Avenue, Apt. 3A, (Murphy Houses) within the confines of the 42 Precinct (PSA #7) in Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed an 8-month-old female, unconscious and unresponsive, within a bathtub in the bathroom of the apartment. EMS responded to the location and transported the infant to Saint Barnabus Hospital in critical condition, before further transporting the infant to Montefiore Children’s Hospital, where the child was pronounced deceased on Monday, July 15, 2019.

There have been no arrests made at this time.
The investigation remains ongoing.
