A Teenage Boy, 16, Arrested For The Murder Of Jeffrey Sanchez, 35

On Monday, September 20, 2021, at approximately 0412 hours, police responded to a 911 call of shots, fired in front of 3775 10 Avenue (Opus Lounge), within the confines of the 34th Precinct in Manhattan.

Upon arrival, officers observed 2 males with sustained gunshot wounds. Victim #1, a 35-year-old male, sustained gunshot wounds to the torso and victim #2, a 42-year-old male, sustained a gunshot wound to the right forearm.

EMS responded to the location and transported victim #1 to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

EMS also transported victim #2 to NYC Health + Hospitals / Harlem, in stable condition.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 35-year-old male individual has been arrested in regard to the above-listed homicide.

Manhattan, NY 10032

Charges:

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation the below individual has been arrested and charged in connection with the above-listed homicide as indicated.

Arrested:

16-year-old male

Charges:

  • assault;
  • murder;
  • robbery (2 counts);
  • criminal possession of a weapon.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
