A Bronx Zoo zoologist posted a Craigslist ad yesterday morning looking for someone to share her Hoboken three-bedroom apartment with her and an alligator?
The room, located at Second and Grand streets, sounds like a great deal. It is completely furnished with a king-size bed and a 50-inch flat screen TV.
To allay the fears of potential roommates, the poster, who goes by the name of Wendy, shares quite a bit of information about the aligator online:
“The alligator is actually a cayman from Zimbabwe,” she writes. “Her name is Keomba and she is… here for a rehabilitation, she was attacked by younger crocs at the zoo in the early summer. Have no fear, Keomba is a gentle giant that is in all actuality very calm.”
“You would be asked for 30 minutes a day to feed her and check on her bandages while I am at work. Her teeth are removed while here so you have nothing to worry about with regards to being bit.”
