The Pelham Parkway Neighborhood Association (PPNA) is pleased to announce that it will be hosting its next general community meeting on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Bronx House, Inc., located at 990 Pelham Parkway South, Bronx, NY 10461. The meeting will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m.

This month’s meeting will feature a special presentation from the NYC Public Engagement Unit (PEU), representing the Office of the Mayor of New York City. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the unit’s innovative approach to connecting residents with essential city services.
The Public Engagement Unit was created to develop a more effective and accessible model for government outreach. Instead of requiring residents to navigate complex city systems on their own, PEU takes a proactive, grassroots approach by engaging directly with communities. Their teams meet residents where they are—whether at their homes, over the phone, through social media, or within the neighborhood itself—ensuring that help is both accessible and personalized.
By combining direct outreach with comprehensive case management, PEU provides New Yorkers with individualized support and guidance, helping them access critical services and resolve issues more efficiently. This presentation will offer valuable insight into how residents can benefit from these services and better connect with city resources.
Community meetings hosted by the Pelham Parkway Neighborhood Association continue to serve as an essential platform for residents to stay informed, engage with public agencies, and strengthen neighborhood connections.
All residents, business owners, and community stakeholders are strongly encouraged to attend this important and informative event.
