On Thursday, January 1, 2026, at approximately 0654 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male, shot in the vicinity of Morris Avenue and Cross Bronx Expressway, within the confines of the 46th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 55-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased on scene.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
