On Monday, September 23, 2019, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. took part in a panel hosted by the NYC Employment and Training Coalition on “The Role of Workforce Development in Borough-Based and Citywide Economic Development Initiatives.”
The panel also included Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams. It was moderated by Jarrett Murphy, Executive Editor of City Limits.
“We have been very strategic in helping facilitate the move of companies to the Bronx and negotiating that any group wanting to do business in the Bronx, does business with the Bronx. I am determined to make sure that jobs that come to our borough are able to be filled by Bronxites and that our local talent benefits from the opportunities that we are bringing here,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.
