Today, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and the Business Initiative Corporation of New York co-hosted the 21st Annual Bronx Bankers Breakfast at the Villa Barone Manor in Throggs Neck.
John C. Williams, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York served as this year’s keynote speaker. Mr. Williams discussed the status of banking in The Bronx, banking deserts, homeownership in the borough and the state of the local economy. Mr. Williams also engaged in a question and answer session with Borough President Diaz and those in attendance, which included over 400 financial leaders, elected officials business owners, real estate brokers and other professionals.
“The annual Bronx Bankers Breakfast is always a wonderful opportunity for the finance community to come together and learn more about some of the great things that are happening in The Bronx,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. “I am especially grateful that Mr. Williams joined us this morning to offer his unique perspective on some of the issues that face our borough and our region’s banking, finance and business communities.”
