A 34-year-old Bronx man was shot and killed Sunday night, police said.

Officials said a gunman shot his victim in the head near Ogden Avenue and W. 171^st Street in Highbridge at about 9:15 p.m.

Paramedics raced the victim to Bronx Lebanon Hospital, but doctors were unable to save him.

The NYPD did not immediate release the man’s name, but police sources said the victim had a criminal record dating back to 1996 and had been arrested for robbery, drug possession and weapon possession.
