On Monday, August 3, 2026, at approximately 0602 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of a male, shot in front of 672 Sagamore Street, within the confines of the 49th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 50-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds about the body.
EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased on scene.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 47-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 2330 hours, within the confines of the 49th Precinct.

Charges:
- murder;
- manslaughter;
- failed to use signal lights;
- criminal possession of a weapon, 2 counts;
- criminal possession of a controlled substance, 2 counts.
The investigation remains ongoing.
