On Saturday, December 14, 2024, the Bronx will become the epicenter of New York City’s conservative political movement, hosting the Viable Candidate Event, the largest city wide conservative gathering of the year. This monumental event will bring together conservative candidates from all five boroughs to rally support, exchange ideas, and discuss the future of conservative politics in New York City.
Leading the charge is Gonzalo Duran, Vice Chairman of the Bronx Conservative Party and a candidate for Mayor of New York City. Duran, a well-known figure in the city’s conservative circles, has made it his mission to unite like-minded candidates and activists from across the boroughs to build a stronger conservative presence in New York.
“We are seeing a new wave of leadership in New York City, and this event will showcase the brightest conservative voices from each borough,” said Duran. “I have worked closely with many of these candidates for years, and together we will work to ensure that our shared values have a loud and clear presence in every corner of this city.”
Alongside Duran, speakers from each of the five boroughs will share the stage, including:
- Jason Murillo from Manhattan;
- Tyreek Goodman from the Bronx;
- Isaiah Vega from Brooklyn;
- Juan Pagan from Queens;
- Jennifer Lee Hom from Staten Island.
Duran emphasized that these five individuals are among the most promising conservative leaders emerging from their respective communities. “These candidates are not only passionate about conservative principles but are actively working on the ground to build support. This is just the beginning of what we hope will be a long-term movement,” Duran added.
In total, 20 to 25 conservative candidates will attend the event, making it a historic gathering for New York’s conservative base.
