Yesterday, Republican presidential candidate and conservative endorsee Donald J. Trump was convicted on 34 felony charges in New York State Supreme Court. The Bronx County Conservative Party, along with many Bronxites and supporters nationwide, stands united in the belief that this trial was unjust. We anticipate Mr. Trump will appeal this sham trial and, if granted a fair and impartial hearing, we are confident the conviction will be overturned.

Patrick McManus, Chairman of the Bronx County Conservative Party, expressed his dismay at the jury’s decision. “It is disheartening that the jury was unable to see through the Democratic leadership’s weaponization of the justice system for partisan political reasons. The charges are baseless, and this conviction is a clear misuse of our judicial process, taxpayer dollars, and a severe threat to democracy.”

This conviction, driven by a false narrative, aims to tarnish a presidential candidate who commands a significant lead in the current political landscape. We firmly believe that justice was not served and that this case represents a blatant attempt to undermine Mr. Trump’s candidacy, especially after federal prosecutors reviewed the case and refused to indict.

With the trial concluded, Mr. Trump can now refocus on his campaign. We reiterate our invitation to welcome former President Trump back to the Bronx as a valued friend.
