Pope Leo XIV, the man sitting on the throne of St. Peter, just looked the world in the eye and declared that “Christians and Muslims can live together and be friends.” He said it during a recent address tied to interfaith meetings in Africa, complete with a visit to the Great Mosque of Algiers where he removed his shoes in a show of respect. No caveats. No warnings about the blood-soaked history. Just another feel-good platitude about dialogue, harmony, and “breaking free from prejudice.”

Wake up, Holy Father. This is not wisdom. This is willful blindness. It’s the kind of naive, suicidal multiculturalism that has already cost countless Christian lives across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. When the successor of the apostles starts parroting the same empty slogans as globalist politicians and open-border activists, you have to ask: who is actually leading the Church — and toward what?

The statement is not just wrong. It is reckless. It ignores fourteen centuries of Islamic conquest, forced conversions, dhimmitude, and ongoing persecution of Christians in Muslim-majority lands. It pretends that theological differences are mere misunderstandings rather than irreconcilable truths. And worst of all, it disarms faithful Christians at the exact moment when Islam is advancing through migration, birth rates, and cultural aggression across the West.
