Schward Bee, 31, Arrested For The Murder Of Stefon Barnes, 29

On Sunday, March 31, 2024, at approximately 0426 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of a male, shot at 851 E. Tremont Avenue, within the confines of 48th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival officers observed a 29-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his right leg.

EMS responded and transported the male to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, detectives have identified the following 31-year-old male individual as being wanted in connection with the above listed incident.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following individual was arrested and charged on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 0100 hours, within the confines of the 48th Precinct.

Charges:

  • murder;
  • robbery;
  • criminal possession of weapon (2 counts).

The investigation remains ongoing.
