Sambula Lino, 19, Arrested For The Murder Of Luis Sevilla, 34

On Monday, December 13, 2021, at approximately 0041 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a 34-year-old male, stabbed at the 241st Street and White Plains Road station, within the confines of the 47th Precinct / Transit District 12 in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, at the mezzanine to the 2 train, police observed an unidentified adult male with a stab wound to the torso.

EMS also responded and transported the victim to Montefiore Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

A preliminary investigation determined that the male victim was stabbed by an unknown individual, following a verbal dispute at the location.

The individual then fled the station to parts unknown.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 19-year-old male individual was arrested on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 1702 hours.

Charges:

  • murder;
  • manslaughter;
  • criminal possession of a weapon.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
