The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the following individual in connection to a robbery within the confines of the 40 Precinct / Transit District 12.
Details are as follows:
It has been reported to police that on Friday, July 27, 2018 at approximately 4:20 p.m. in the vicinity of East 138th Street and Brooke Avenue, an 18 year old male victim was riding aboard a south bound #6 train, as the train approached the Brook Avenue stop, an unidentified individual approached the victim and forcibly snatched the victim’s phone from his hands and fled the train car. The victim followed the individual as he fled toward the northbound platform of the Brook Avenue train station. As the victim approached the individual to retrieve his cellphone, the unidentified individual displayed a knife and demanded more of the victim’s property. The victim gave the individual $80, who then fled the station toward Willis Avenue. No injuries were reported.
The individual is described as follows:
Male Hispanic, in his 20’s, approximately 5′ 10″ tall and 180 lbs.
He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and Black shorts
Surveillance video and photos of the individuals was taken from the vicinity of the incident location.
