Raul Camuez, 33 & Marcus Toolsie, 27, Arrested For The Murder Of John Medina, 35

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at approximately 2235 hours, police responded to a 911 call for an aided at NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, within the confines of the 40th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, it was reported to officers that a 35-year-old male sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and a 42-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the groin.

Both victims were transported to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln by private means in stable condition.

The 35-year-old male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on April 23, 2025.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 33- and 27-year-old male individuals were arrested and charged on May 19, 2025, within the confines of the 40th Precinct.

Charges:

  • murder in the 2nd degree;
  • manslaughter in the 1st degree;
  • criminal ppssession of a weapon in the 2nd degree.

Charges:

  • murder in the 2nd degree;
  • criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree.

The investigation remains ongoing.
