The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in finding a missing 24-year-old Bronx mother and her infant son.

Margarita Quain was last seen around noon on Thursday, January, 12, 2012, hours, after leaving her E. 169th Street residence.

Police said Quain left the home with her 2-year-old son Mario Carrasquillo.

Quain is about 5’04” tall and weighs about 180 lbs. Police said she has black hair and brown eyes and has a “slight learning disability.”

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
