Pedro Mercado, 51, Arrested For The Murder Of Joshua Antoinetti, 38

On Monday, September 04, 2023, at approximately 0042 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male, shot at the St. Mary’s Park NYCHA Development located at 645 Westchester Avenue, located within the confines of the 40th Precinct / Police Service Area 7 in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 38-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head outside of the location.

The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln in critical condition.

On Tuesday, September 05, 2023, the victim succumbed to his injuries, and was pronounced deceased. The incident has now been deemed a homicide.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to the ongoing investigation, the following 51-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Wednesday, November 01, 2023, at 1710 hours, within the confines of the 40th Precinct.

  • manslaughter;
  • criminal possession of a weapon.

The investigation remains ongoing.
