On Sunday, May 21, 2023, at approximately 1611 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an aided child outside of 240 Mt. Hope Place, within the confines of the 46th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed an unconscious and unresponsive 9-year-old male with injuries, indicative of falling from an elevated position.
A preliminary investigation determined that the child fell from a window on the 4th floor.
Responding officers transported the aided child to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
