On Monday, July 13, 2026, at approximately 2356 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police responded to a 911 call of an assault in front of 4385 Murdock Avenue, within the confines of the 47th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 39-year-old female who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen.
EMS responded and transported the female to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where she was subsequently pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 58-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 1940 hours in the confines of the 47th Precinct.

- manslaughter;
- criminal possession of a weapon, 10 counts.
The investigation remains ongoing.
