On Sunday, September 17, 2023, at approximately 0110 hours, while on patrol, police heard shots fired at the intersection of W. 168th Street and Ogden Avenue, located within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 80-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to the ongoing investigation, the following 46-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Thursday, October 05, 2023, at approximately 1410 hours within the confines of the 44th Precinct.

Charges:
- murder;
- manslaughter;
- criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
