On Friday, December 27, 2019, at approximately 2337 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot near the corner of East Burnside Avenue and Morris Avenue, within the confines of the 46 Precinct in Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 24-year-old male lying on the ground, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the back.
EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an active investigation the following 27-year-old male individual was arrested and charged in connection to this incident on December 31, 2019.

Bronx, NY 10466
Charges:
- murder;
- manslaughter;
- criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
