Marji Daoud, 28, Murdered

On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at approximately 1657 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at 2690 University Avenue, within the confines of the 50th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 28-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his head.

EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Additionally, police were alerted of a second victim, a 33-year-old female, who was transported by private means to NYC Health + Hospitals / Woodhull with a gunshot wound to the left hip. She is listed in stable condition.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
