On Thursday, December 10, 2020, at approximately 1028 hours, police responded to a 911 call of assault near the corner of Mt. Carmel Place and E. 27th Street, within the confines of the 13th Precinct in Manhattan.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 65-year-old male lying on the sidewalk with head trauma.
EMS responded to the location and transported the aided male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Bellevue.
On Saturday, December 16, 2020, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The above-listed incident has been deemed a homicide.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 52-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged on Friday, December 15, 2020, at 2245 hours within the confines of the 13th Precinct.

Charges:
- assault;
- pending.
The investigation remains ongoing.
