On Tuesday, June 01, 2021, at approximately 1410 hours, police responded to a call from Montefiore North Hospital Emergency room, regarding an 8-year-old child, brought to the facility from his residence within the confines of the 47th Precinct in the Bronx, by his mother, unconscious and unresponsive, with no obvious signs of trauma observed.
The child was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
